Omega Licenses Chromosome Technology

Omega Molecular is happy to announce a collaboration with Chromatin, Inc., a Chicago-based firm specializing in genetic engineering.

Kurt Danzer, Omega's CEO, announced today that Chromatin's synthetic chromosome technology helps complete Omega's O-TEP (Omega Targeted Ecosystem Process) by which seeds carrying desirable traits are tailored to various environments within one to two growing seasons.

Omega Molecular is a biotechnology company headquartered in Evergreen, California. Omega specializes in the engineering of plants to produce products that improve human wellbeing. Omega's Targeted Ecosystem Program (O-TEP), speeds the genetic modification of crops so that people in a number of growing environments can share in the benefits of increased yields and food value.
